GameOn! Security Challenge Submission Deadline Extended

We’ve seen interesting submissions running the gamut from:

  • Browser credential validation
  • Locky ransomware persistence techniques
  • DNP3 command spoofing to remote terminal units

We continue to be amazed by what our creative AttackIQ Community can think up to do with the FireDrill automated security validation platform, and that’s really the whole point of having a community-based platform in the first place, isn’t it?\

We hosted a live webinar for active and prospective players last week focusing on the Challenge rules, prizes, and judging criteria, plus FireDrill basics, the developer environment setup, and the scenario creation and submission processes. In case you missed it, you can view the recorded webcast here. If you’re stuck or just wondering where to start, the webcast can get you back on the right track. We’re planning additional helpful webcasts shortly as well, so check back in this space often … we’ll be sure to let you know when they’re available.

With the Challenge now in full swing and new players joining at a rapid clip, we’ve decided to extend the scenario submission deadline until Monday, December 12, 2016.

Remember, you can submit as many scenarios as you like and can even team up with others to  leverage your ideas into truly original and winning submissions. Hey, you might even find partners to work with inside our Community. Have you tried out our Community Slack channel? It’s by invitation only, but if you’re a GameOn! player, you should have your invitation already. Contact us if you need another one. Engage with AttackIQ researchers and other security aficionados in the Community. Get involved, learn about writing effective scenarios, make professional connections, have fun, and go for the gold!
