Chief Executive Officer
Brett has more than 30 years of executive and entrepreneurial experience in the technology industry. He has brought together technology, product, and business expertise to innovate and deliver a stream of successful product businesses. Most recently he co-founded Mist Systems and served as its Chairman before its sale to Juniper. He is the former president and CEO of Airespace, which he sold to Cisco. He served at Cisco as the Senior Vice President of the Network Services Group and Enterprise Strategy. Prior to Airespace, he was the co-founder, chief operating officer, and later CEO of Packeteer, which launched an initial public offering (IPO) in 1999. Brett holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
Chief Commercial Officer
Carl is a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with experience in the security, storage, virtualization, and software sectors. Prior to joining AttackIQ he held executive operational roles at Securify, Decru, and Kidaro, where he contributed to rapid growth and subsequent acquisition by Microsoft, Network Appliance, and Secure Computing. He has extensive experience in all aspects of enterprise information technology deployments and has held key IT operational roles, including chief information security officer for the U.S. Marine Corps. In 1999, he was awarded the National Security Agency’s Frank B. Rowlett Trophy.

Stephan is the Founder and CTO of AttackIQ where he led the company, product, and vision for the first 5 years and today focuses on customer success and influencing the technology vision. He is a 20 year veteran of information security, servicing clients ranging from startups to multinational corporations as a researcher, security and risk consultant, solutions architect, and technical leader and executive. Rupen comes most recently from Motive in the fleet management space building and leading the technology partner program. Before Motive, he was driving business development and technology partnerships at Qualys, a leader in vulnerability management. Rupen has over 25+ years of experience at both private and large public companies such as Motive, Qualys, Pegasystems, Salesforce, Autodesk, Adobe, and Oracle. Rupen has held leadership positions on how to develop, build, and execute on partnership ecosystem, grow the partner organization, and target/manage partners to close deals and scale the business.
At AttackIQ, Rupen will be driving and executing strategic partnerships including OEM and MSSP partners. This will be critical as AttackIQ grows into new markets and regions. He is keen on helping protect customers and securing the world from unwanted threats. Rupen is a native-born Californian and currently lives in the Bay Area.

Jose Barajas is VP, Worldwide Sales Engineering AttackIQ. He has over a decade of experience as a security researcher reverse-engineering malware and developing security controls and analytics. At AttackIQ, he now focuses on improving security control efficacy through attacker behavior emulation and establishing continuous security validation programs. Jose has presented at Black Hat, Globaltek Security Conference, and ISACA Security Conference and actively leads research partnership efforts with MITRE Engenuity.
Chief Development Officer
George Tomic joins AttackIQ having served as the CTO and Senior Vice President of Engineering at Trustwave where he led security platform and product development activities in addition to security research. George joined Trustwave from McAfee where he served as Vice President Management & Cloud Platform Engineering. Prior to McAfee, George was Vice President Global Engineering and CyberThreat Intelligence – DXC Security Services at DXC. George also served as Vice President Managed Security Services & Global Enterprise Security Services Engineering at Hewlett Packard Enterprise leading the managed security services business and global engineering for the Enterprise Security Services division and held several leadership roles at Symantec.
